Mechanical Quality Assurance Engineer Duties
- Asist our QA Manager by regularly inspecting works at various stages across all projects.
- Complete Quality Inspection & Audits (per month)
- Close-out Project issues / investigations / queries (as they arise / relate to Quality deficiencies)
- Ensure Project personnel are adhering to the Client Specifications, Drawings and Requirements for successful Project Handover
- Asist with Testing & Commissioning of New Mechanical Systems
- Provide Quality training support (continuous)
- Resolve Quality non-conformance
- Provide technical Process & Mechanical support (consultative)
- Support the project team regarding best practice installation methods.
- Any issues on sites are brought together into the public domain so these issues do not re-surface by developing a shared “lessons learned” platform
Requirements
- Possession of a relevant trade and/or 3rd level qualification.
- Previous experience of ‘hands on‘role within domestic new building sites
- Good practical operational/construction knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of specification, codes, relevant contract terms and current regulations.
- Good knowledge of current best practices and procedures in relation to project execution and contractor obligations
- Excellent literacy, numeric and relevant IT skills
- Good interpersonal skills for interaction with clients, partners, and sub- contractors.
- Ability to compile and record relevant data for monitoring and auditing of projects.
- Ability to assist in the development and expansion of the QC/QA Division.
- Ability to always represent the company in a professional manner.
- A high level of attention to detail.
